The Black Forest Wills A Dream
An expedition team lost in the depths of the icefield sends a distress signal to the outside world.
Ursus is not the only infiltrator in Sami's forest.
Tribes that have gone their separate ways, and outsiders traveling together—
will you choose to go north, or south?
- In the Biting Cold (Interlude)Magallan applies for a permit to enter the icefield as per usual, but finds that Ursus has abruptly blocked the route. She makes her way through Sami instead, meets her old friend Santalla by an old tree, and hears from different sides about the grudges between Ursus and Sami.
- Daughter of the Icefield (Interlude)Magallan encounters a supernatural phenomenon in the Fjal Vetrtonn and finds herself rescued by an unfamiliar Sarkaz. The Mountains' Sami are extremely wary of the group and chase them away from their defensive line.
- Shadows of Trees (Interlude)The gang stops at the settlement of a friendly forest tribe and stays overnight. That night, Magallan dreams of herself becoming the prey of a shadow. Santalla helps the tribe conduct a ritual that rouses their clan tree, which rises to begin its journey with its subjects, casting a shadow that Magallan finds somewhat familiar.
- Revelation of Nature (Interlude)Typhon teaches Magallan the wisdom of the hunter, and the laws of Sami's Eternal Hunt. They encounter a rockhorn that has been gravely wounded by a demon, and the accompanying shaman apprentice ends its suffering, but it can no longer nourish nature.
- Homecoming (Interlude)Gitano returns to her tribe after foreseeing her brother's death. Santalla tracks the trail of the Ursus infiltrators, warning Magallan and Typhon to be careful before leaving.
- One Day (Interlude)The funeral was held as planned, but Typhon gradually notices signs of demonic contamination during the procession of ships. Santalla arrives as promised, and halts the funeral along with Typhon. At the most critical moment, the party encounters a northern Snowpriest and his warriors.
- Vision Unseen (Interlude)Upon request, Typhon delivers a special flower to Magallan and the others at Rhine Lab, causing the researchers to grasp the immense scientific value of the endless icefield. Elsewhere, Santalla learns that an Ursus Royal Guard has gone rogue. To resolve this crisis, everyone's paths will converge once more.
