  In the central district of Chernobog's core city, Sarkaz mercenaries raise their swords against the Infected of Reunion. And Amiya, with Rosmontis, leads her team with determination.

  When the Infected Patrol Unit searches the village for Infected, an old man tries to take the fall for Talulah, only to be brutally murdered. Talulah strikes out in anger.

  Alina reveals to Talulah that she is Infected and finally convinces her to fight her anger and leave for a while.

  On the other side of Chernobog's core city, Kal'tsit and the Doctor are trying to enter the sarcophagus, with herdified Sarkaz mercenaries standing in their way.

  Talulah visits the Infected civilians who have been forced into a dire situation. At the same time, the Infected Patrol Unit shows up, and a conflict is inevitable.

  Talulah, having repelled the patrol, is welcomed by the Infected, who have their lives back. Talulah tells Alina about the experience.

  Conflict breaks out between Rhodes Island and the Sarkaz mercenaries, the sealing layer is activated, members of Rosmontis's squad enter the sealing layer to cut off its power source, and the Shieldguards seek to work with Rhodes Island.

  Talulah leads an Infected squad to the Northern Tundra, looking for the guerrillas who have been fighting against oppression and for the Infected. She comes to befriend FrostNova and her Yeti Squad.

  A hero born of darkness and intrigue, an incarnation of an evil god haunting the history of Ursus, a fated rebellion, the beginning of the undulations of history.
• M8-4: Will, Phantom Wisps (Interlude)
  The Shieldguards make a deal with Rhodes Island, but Rosmontis's squad is ambushed in the sealing layer's superstructure. It is unknown if they survived. In desperation, Rosmontis uses her Arts to destroy the sealing layer.
• R8-6: War, Sprawling Without Cease (Before Operation)
  Talulah paints a picture of the future that may impress FrostNova, but it doesn't seem to convince Patriot. In an encounter with the Ursus garrison, Talulah finally witnesses Patriot in a fight.
• R8-6: War, Sprawling Without Cease (After Operation)
  Patriot expresses his thoughts to Talulah for the first time, denouncing her as an empty idealist. Talulah picks up the children Sasha and Eno, and Alina reminds her not to forget the persistence she started with.
• M8-5: Ruination, Long Awaited (Interlude)
  Rosmontis is working through the pain of her team's sacrifice. Kal'tsit tells the Doctor the significance of Amiya and Rosmontis as operators. And Elysium sends an urgent message: the Ursus Army is in the core city.
• R8-8: The Heart, Fickle and Impermanent (Before Operation)
  Talulah allows some of the Infected in her group to leave, sparking an argument with Patriot. And the Infected who left betray Talulah, hoping to divert the attention of the Ursus Army.
• R8-8: The Heart, Fickle and Impermanent (After Operation)
  The Infected betrayal does not anger or disappoint Talulah, and while being questioned by Patriot, she reveals her thoughts and spits out a decision. Patriot finally gives her the nod.
• M8-6: Farewell, to Reunite Once More (Before Operation)
  Ursus soldiers dressed as Reunion members stop the crowd. The Shieldguards join forces with Rosmontis in order to break through them.

  Amiya decides to leave Rosmontis and go to face Talulah alone. She orders Rosmontis to live on, and help others live on.
• R8-9: Reunited, Only to Separate (Before Operation)
  After learning about the patrol to the west, Alina heads east to exchange supplies. Once she's gone, Talulah hears that the village to the west is being searched and decides to ambush the patrol.

  She clings to the back of the one who came for her. She does not return.
• M8-7: Malediction, Bound for Retribution (Before Operation)
  W finds the Shieldguards and Rosmontis. She makes her stand and manages to gain Rosmontis's trust. At the same time, the Doctor and Kal'tsit approach the core of the sarcophagus, finding a Sarkaz Herd on the way.

  Kal'tsit and the Doctor run into Mephisto, now transformed into a monster, in the core of the sarcophagus.

  The most terrifying violence in Ursus befalls the young leader, bringing death, fear, and greetings from the darkest depths of the shadows.

  Amiya helps Ch'en come to understand the Talulah before her, and they discover that Talulah's consciousness still lives somewhere within the shadow.

  Amiya has accumulated enough emotion. Rage has been building for some time, memories that do not belong to her break through the limits she placed on herself, and her power is finally assimilated by the emotions.

  'Talulah' gives up her disguise, and stops working her tricks on Ch'en and Amiya. Amiya and Ch'en now face one of the most powerful forces of will Ursus has ever birthed. The decisive battle is upon them.

  The 'Deathless Black Snake' threatens the two with Talulah's life, knowing that the death of Talulah would not stop the war.
